Zoe Keeling

Community Governor

Zoe is an English graduate with a masters degree in forensic linguistics. Her background is in education. She taught English at secondary level for ten years, has experience as an A Level examiner and has been principal of two colleges; she also ran an undergraduate course in Language and Gender for Birmingham University. Zoe has written three books for Letts Revision and columns for the Birmingham Evening News, Eastern Daily Press and Stretton Focus. She is committed to working in the community and has raised over £80,000 to build a local nature-based play area and sensory garden. Zoe has a keen interest in music (especially accompanying) theatre, film and literature to include the 18th century gothic novel, first world war poets and 20th century American authors. Her two children have both attended St Lawrence Primary School and very much enjoyed their time from Reception through to Year 6.
